Good Shepard Ministries

Good Shepherd Ministries supports people experiencing homelessness, poverty, addiction, and social isolation through meals, shelter, recovery programs, and housing support.

Twice a month, Toronto Joy volunteers support Good Shepherd in meaningful, hands-on ways.

Some of the ways we help include: meal preparation, meal service, sorting food and clothing, and offering general support where needed.

Serving meals is not just about food. It is also about creating a sense of stability in someone’s day and offering human connection without judgment. Sometimes, even a simple act of kindness can make a meaningful difference in someone’s day.

Trinity Community Hub

Trinity Community Hub, located beside the Eaton Centre, has long been a place of support for people experiencing homelessness in downtown Toronto.

Toronto Joy volunteers support this work through simple and practical acts of service.

Some of the ways we help include: serving beverages, helping in the kitchen, organizing clothing, and assisting with clean-up.

These moments allow us to connect directly with the community and offer support in a small but meaningful way.

Fred Victor

Fred Victor helps individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty move toward stability through housing support, employment programs, food programs, and community services.

Toronto Joy has supported Fred Victor by collecting essential items for people experiencing homelessness, and we look forward to continuing to support their work in meaningful ways.

Some of the ways we support, or hope to support, include: collecting essential items, food initiatives, community events, garden support, wellness offerings, family support activities, and other volunteer opportunities as needs arise.
