Good Shepherd Ministries
Good Shepherd Ministries supports people experiencing homelessness, poverty, addiction, and social isolation through meals, shelter, recovery programs, and housing support.
Twice a month, Toronto Joy volunteers support Good Shepherd in meaningful, hands-on ways.
Some of the ways we help include: meal preparation, meal service, sorting food and clothing, and offering general support where needed.
Serving meals is not just about food. It is also about creating a sense of stability in someone’s day and offering human connection without judgment.
Sometimes, even a simple act of kindness can make a meaningful difference in someone’s day.
Trinity Community Hub
Trinity Community Hub, located beside the Eaton Centre, is a place of support for people experiencing homelessness in downtown Toronto.
Toronto Joy volunteers are helping with this work through simple, practical acts of service, serving beverages, working in the kitchen, organizing clothing, and helping with clean-up.
These moments allow us to connect directly with the community and offer support in a small but meaningful way.
Fred Victor
Fred Victor helps individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty move toward stability through housing support, employment programs, food programs, and community services.
Toronto Joy connects volunteers to Fred Victor’s ongoing program and also supports them by collecting essential items for people experiencing homelessness. We look forward to growing that support further.
